LOVE 105Would you recognize LOVE if you saw it?  Are you sure?

Joh 3:20  Everyone who makes a practice of doing evil, addicted to denial and illusion, hates God-light and won’t come near it, fearing a painful exposure.
Joh 3:19  “This is the crisis we’re in: God-light streamed into the world, but men and women everywhere ran for the darkness. They went for the darkness because they were not really interested in pleasing God.
Joh 3:18  Anyone who trusts in him is acquitted; anyone who refuses to trust him has long since been under the death sentence without knowing it. And why? Because of that person’s failure to believe in the one-of-a-kind Son of God when introduced to him.
Joh 3:17  God didn’t go to all the trouble of sending his Son merely to point an accusing finger, telling the world how bad it was. He came to help, to put the world right again.
Joh 3:16  “This is how much God loved the world: He gave his Son, his one and only Son. And this is why: so that no one need be destroyed; by believing in him, anyone can have a whole and lasting life. (MSG)

If you could only see God’s LOVE for you.  His LOVE for you, cannot be measured, for there is no unit of measurement adequate.  His LOVE is so vast one cannot see from one side of it to the other.  His LOVE for you is so powerful.  His LOVE can conquer all!  His LOVE never fails.

Also, God uses His people, all around the world, to show you His LOVE for you the best they can.  Know God’s LOVE, for it is perfect.  Seek it out as if it’s the greatest treasure on earth…for it is!  Ask God to help you recognize it.  Start now, for tis the season.  For God’s LOVE, Jesus, came to you in Bethlehem.  Born in a manger.

Look for God’s LOVE as if your life depends on it, for it does.

Close Gifts

red-crossMary held him close enough to hear him breath.  To feel his chest move in and out.  To see every radiant color of his eyes.  Her heart melted when he smiled.  Just think what an honor it must have been to be that close to God.  To hold God in your hands.

Jesus said, “For the Father and I are one.” (John 10:30)  Mary held God.  Today, God can hold you.

When it hurts, when you’re scared, when you’re confused, run into God’s arms.  Because God gave us His son, His son gave us God.

Instructions for the Season, For Life

“Tis the season!” so they say, but for what?  Is this the season to spend too much money?  Go in debt?  Extend ourselves beyond belief?  Get so tired and then possibly grouchy?  (Like me)  Honestly I have found it so difficult this year to quiet my heart and mind to focus on why we do all this crazy stuff we do to so call, “Celebrate Christmas”.  Even now my mind is thinking of starting a new “To-Do-List”.

Why can’t I go to a quiet manger right now, and get on bended knee (if it didn’t hurt too much to get bamangerck up) and to truly worship the King of Kings?  When Jesus was born Mary and Joseph didn’t go to one party, but yet their hearts rejoiced, their spirits danced, and their voices were no doubt raised to sing praises to the Christ child.  Knowing that this baby was the savior of the world.  Can you even begin to imagine the responsibility they had?  I’m sure the instructions probably just said, “Love”, and “Handle with Care”.

I think those instructions are perfect for today as well.  “Love” and “Handle with Care”.  Do this for those you encounter, and especially for the ones who call you family.

May God bless every one of you above all you could ever imagine. (Eph 3:20)

Merry Christmas
